Two Long-Promised Links!

Kudos to everyone who followed up on their New Year resolution to start a scientific daily meditative practice! The great feedback you’ve given me is very heartening. This is heart health month which makes it an ideal time to integrate this practice into your life, even if only for a couple of minutes twice daily. To anyone yet to begin meditating, please consider starting your very own private spiritual adventure asap – you’ll be delighted at what you discover! More information and links for downloading the free app that I strongly recommend are available here : https://yogananda.org/app-faq. Once you sign up for the home-study lessons, they will start showing up in the app, too — enjoy! As we now well know and understand, a daily scientific meditative practice is known to reduce stress, improve cardiovascular health, improve immunity, and reduce blood pressure, among several benefits. The American Heart Association has created comprehensive guidelines and recommend meditation as an adjunct practice. However, those with schizophrenia and those on medications that increase the brain’s dopamine should avoid meditative practices until cleared by their psychiatrist and neurologist.

In honor of heart health month, I have a second link to share with you. Dayton Children’s has published again the post I wrote last year regarding coconut oil. You may access it here: https://www.childrensdayton.org/the-hub/busting-myth-coconut-oil. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out, as always. Stay healthy and happy, and please let me know how your meditations are helping you, your heart, and your mind!
