The 5 Surprising Enemies of Happiness

(Not what you were thinking)!

We’re born with our five senses, who live in our house, so to speak. All our waking hours, they keep making demands of us. When we satisfy one of their desires (which are likely not *our* desires, but only theirs!), they quiet down and let us have a few brief moments of peace. The five senses have us convinced that their desires are our desires (not true!) and that when we fulfil one of their cravings, we’re “treating ourselves” or that we “deserve” whatever it is (not true, yet again)!

That is also why humans feel the need to sleep – it’s the only time the five senses shut down and give us a break from their non-stop demands!

These five senses love the little habits they’ve acquired over time, and fight back whenever we try to deprive them even once. What to do, you ask? It’s the age-old war strategy of “divide and conquer”…. more to come!

    1. I appreciate your kind words, Nancy! Paramahansa Yogananda brought and left to first to America, and then the whole world, a huge legacy of health and wealth.
